Insomniac's alien-themed New Year's festival at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino: one night that crosses into New Year's Day, five covered stages, and afterparties that run to 6 AM.

The full editorial

Countdown NYE is Insomniac's Southern California New Year's festival, held at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino. After a one-year move to the Los Angeles Convention Center in 2025, the 2026 edition returns to San Bernardino for a single night, Dec 31 into Jan 1. The site is a fairground, so expect paved walkways, carnival rides, and five covered stages rather than open fields. Music runs 4 PM to 2 AM, then official afterparties keep going until 6 AM. The bill is broad: Alesso, DJ Snake, DJ Diesel, Marshmello, Oliver Heldens and R3HAB cover the big-room side, Subtronics, NGHTMRE, Space Laces and Flosstradamus carry the bass and trap, and James Hype, Wax Motif and Gordo hold the house. It is 18+, and VIP is 21+. The crowd is a young SoCal mix, heavy on bass fans and costume wearers. The trade-offs are real: it is on New Year's Eve, so entry lines and rideshare waits are long, and the venue sits in a car-dependent part of the Inland Empire with limited transit. General parking is free, and the official shuttle and Metrolink are the calmer options. Cold December nights mean a jacket. The reason to go is the countdown itself: a full-scale Insomniac production at midnight with an on-site afterparty, which almost no other West Coast NYE event offers.

  • Bass and big-room fans who want both under one ticket
  • Groups who will split parking or a hotel and stay for the 6 AM afterparty
