Checked the official site, Front Gate and the prior launch reports on 2026-10-03: the site still shows the 2026 edition and its thank-you page, and no 2027 date or ticket launch is announced. The 2025 edition's launch was announced in February 2025 and the 2026 edition's in September 2025, so no narrow expected window is recorded.

The read
Our editorial read
Insomniac's oldest festival and the longest-running rave in the US: two nights of house, bass and drum & bass at Glen Helen, with three nights of optional camping.
The full editorial
Nocturnal Wonderland is the longest-running electronic festival in the country, first held in downtown Los Angeles in 1995, and it now runs as a two-night camping weekend at Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino. The site is dirt hills, lawns and a water park at the foot of the San Bernardino Mountains, about an hour from Los Angeles. Four stages cover the spread: Mystic Wild for the big mixed sets, Dawn Mountain for dubstep and drum & bass, Aurora Plains for house and techno, and Rave Cave for breaks, drum & bass and old-school selections, with a fifth brand stage from Beatbox. Gates run 3 PM to midnight, 18+, and 2026 was the 31st edition. Camping is the point for many people: check in Friday, leave Monday, with a Friday pre-party, nightly silent discos, yoga and the water park in between. The trade-offs are real. Camping passes are not cheap and the better tiers sell out. There is no re-entry for festival-only tickets, general parking is free but lots must be cleared by 1 AM, and the days can be hot and dusty before the desert night cools off. The reason to go is the combination: a festival with three decades of history, a genuine campground community, and a lineup that still splits its attention between house and heavy bass instead of chasing one sound.
Go if
- Campers who want a full Friday-to-Monday weekend, not just two nights
- SoCal ravers who want house, bass and drum & bass on one bill
- People who care about old-school rave culture and the PLUR crowd
Skip if
- You want a city venue with hotels and transit at the gate
- You need a lineup spread across eight or more stages
- You cannot handle dust, daytime heat and a walk in from parking
Inside the festival
A long-running rave in the hills: dust and daytime heat, a water park by day, and four lit stages of house and heavy bass after dark.
An 18+ SoCal crowd that spans first-timers and people who have come for a decade, heavy on camping groups and old-school ravers; calmer than EDC.

Worth it for / the catch
Worth it for
- A genuine three-night campground weekend with a pre-party and silent discos
- Four stages plus a brand stage cover house, bass, drum & bass and old-school sets
- Free general parking and free water refills
- The closest long-running camping festival to Los Angeles, and cheaper than EDC Las Vegas
The catch
- Camping passes are expensive and the better tiers sell out early
- No re-entry for festival-only tickets across a nine-hour day
- Dust and daytime heat, then a cold night in the same weekend
- Only five stages, so the lineup is smaller than the big Vegas festivals
